May. 14th, 2005 01:30 pmgiddygeekIt's Huge Multifamily Yard Sale Day at my parents' house. I have fueled up on coffee, which I don't generally drink, and thus spent the morning talking to a clown, climbing the rock walls and rock piles from the renovations that are going on here, riding a bike up and down the driveway, sanding tables, arguing with people because on the same day that there was a headline about $82B going to Iraq, a local town announced it would have to lay off 76 teachers and no one here seems to get how wrong that is, and making the dog do tricks.
Fun times, man. However, the clown is gone, I lost some of the sequins off my sneakers in the rock pile, and the dog refuses to roll over.
Story of my life, really.
Anyway, I've been thinking.
To solve the problem of SGA lacking a Chris, I have decided someone needs to write the story wherein some Ancient device gets a hold of Miko's iPod, and the next thing you know, NSYNC and 65 other random musicians and groups are wandering Atlantis looking for performance space and recreational drugs.
Eventually it's decided that they can't be useless forever, and some of them have to go work the Athosian fields and some have to go on SG teams and JC discovers alien musical instruments and aliens who'll have sex with him and never wants to go home, and Beckett won't give Chris the gene therapy because the last thing anyone wants is for him to be able to fly Jumpers and control the doors and lights with his mind. Justin spends a lot of time with Elvis, who misses the aliens on what is now his home planet, Joey turns out to be a great negotiator, and the gene takes in Lance, who then gets to spend a lot of time in space.
And the botanists are going to be really, really rich when they get back to Earth.
So someone should write that. Volunteers? :)

(Not that I've ever watched SGA or read SGA slash, but I suppose I can transfer my experiences from SG1, and a Chris wandering the halls of Cheyenne Mountain fills me with glee, and Lance would get to go to space.) I'm all for it!
