So I've had this livejournal for 3 yrs as of today, and this is my 301st post. I was actually surprised that there had been that many because it seems to me that I'm mostly a fannish hermit, but I've got this pattern of going like 6 wks without an entry, and then posting 4 times in the same day. Things build up. *G*

April 1st was my 3rd anniversary of popslash posting. I'd planned to have the trickyfish that I promised to write trixiesfic ready to go, but then I got a new job and a new apartment and a renewed interest in a social life, and I sort of lost a lot of writing time. However, Bev says Lance is looking better than she's ever seen and Chris groomed his facial hair, and that says OTP to me. No, really, it does!

Shuttup.

Anyway, I do have something else taking up some time. A couple months ago, merryish and kaneko were like, we have found your new fandom! and I got all clingy to popslash and said no! I don't want a new one! I like the old one! It was patiently explained to me that you can like more than one thing at a time, and Merry sent me DVDs. I fell in love with the charming-not-sincere slacker ex-boyfriend who went places and the strangely attractive geek from the debate-physics-chess club and the big empty city they have to explore, and that was that.

So far, my interaction with the fandom has been limited to two short fics for the sga_flashfic community, one much better than the other but both a lot of fun from my POV. I went to visit an SGA chat today, and then went on a friending spree which will probably continue tomorrow.

If you're coming to this journal to check out the new person who friended you, hi, I don't post much and I'm not actively insane and I won't think twice about it if you don't friend me back--I'm not obsessed with my stats the way some LJers can be--but that's pretty much all I have to recommend me. ;-) If you're coming to this journal and saying jeez dude, we've been chatting together for 3 yrs/we've met at fannish gatherings/I gave you my username like 9mths ago--hi! I thought you were cool all along, but I slack!

If you're a friend from kindergarten or however, hi. You give good dinner! You have awesome dogs! You'll eat pie with me on 3/14! You've come to corn mazes and zombie!malls, and the circus, and you've watched me blatantly cheat at mini-golf, bowling, pool, poker and any number of board games. I love you, but I'm not maintaining a separate RL journal because of you, it's just too much work. Deal. *G*

Everyone else, hi. I had a bad week last week, but I'm okay. More details later. Although on second thought, that's really all the details there are to have. Hmm.

Keep squeeing about BSB, dudes. It fills me with glee. I downloaded the Incomplete vid tonight and had the same heeeeeeeee it's a love song to each other reaction that I've seen all over. I can't go to CFTC because I couldn't get the time off work and also I'm scared of some of you, but I'm sure we'll get a chance to hang out together soon. When Chris finally goes on his club tour, maybe, or JC or Justin release a new album, or Joey is on Broadway again, or when Lance takes over the world and puts us all in an asylum. ;-)

Seriously, new apartment is so yay. It's like twice the size of the old apartment, it has character, and my landlord is not insane. ;-) And thanks! I loved the little bluefish *so much*, and I like the way upping the contrast gave him a little bluefish mohawk.

I have the picture of that hug on my website! Love it. I also loved the purple that was in it so much that I used it on everything, and Merry and Kaneko used to mock me about only liking it because it reminded me of Lance's ass. But that wasn't it at all! It reminded me of big hugs that lift people off the ground, and Lance's ass! *G*

Anyway. I keep saying 'the only thing wrong with this fandom is that it doesn't have trickyfish.' It seems unlikely that I'll ever leave popslash completely behind. And thank you! I'm glad you've enjoyed the fic!

And I want to take the opportunity to thank you for maintaing the Trickyfish links page. When I started in the fandom sometime early last autumn it was a godsend: all the Trickyfish stories I could ever want - as I thought then, now I know better, you can never get enough Trickyfish!

Thanks! Trust me, I'm amazed to have kept the LJ active all this time. But it's been fun. Also fun is the Sheppard/McKay. All the snark and dorky and adorable and supercompetent and talented--love them. So much. Who could resist being multifandom with them around? ;-)
