Right, OK, so the thing I am the worst at when it comes to keeping a neat house is cleaning the fridge. But I went at it last night as part of my Grand Day Of Packing and now! Empty and Shiny and sure, I had to vaccum dog hair out of the freezer but dude, the way my dog sheds? I vaccum dog hair off the ceiling, out of the toilet tank and off the blinds.

But stupid, stupid me. I left the bag of discarded fridge stuff in the kitchen with the other bags of discarded stuff. And last night sometime, the cats, apparently as revenge because you know, I just didn't feed them the three cans and half-bag of cat food that they were hankering for before bed--ripped the bags open. And then the dog got in on the fun. The three of them ate a 1/2 lb of salmon that'd been in the freezer probably since March. 2 previously unopened but definitely expired things of sour cream. Peaches that were juuuust on this side of not-right. And lastly, they shredded a package of lite cream cheese, which I hate and won't eat ever so more power to 'em.

But yeah. So I should have put the bag in the trash thing right away instead of being lazy. But. Dude. Do I deserve to be punished with puddles of yogurt mixed with now unfrozen peas? With half-eaten, half-thawed fish? Arrrrgh. And now they're all going to be sick; how they weren't sick when I woke up is beyond me, man--

All right.

So this post was pure procrastination--I have to go pay the apartment guy all his first/last/security crap and then start moving some of my stuff. *shiver* I'm scared! I've lived on my own for the past year and a half but. I mean. Now I'll be all alone in a place where I can't even pretend my Mom and sister might be coming back! And. The pets are going to live at Mom's house. And I'll have real neighbors. And. And. Um. The packing is intense. And I'm scared!.

*deep breaths*

OK. Freak-out over. No, really. This is for the best. Yes. It is. Yes.

OK. Going to load the car now.

...........

Can I just come live with one of you guys? I promise, I'm generally neat, and quiet, and I have a cool computer and a growing collection of SDB stuff and a transparent phone and I'm a really good cook. And I won't interrupt your internet time because dude! Me too!

No? *sigh* All right then. Be that way. See if I come home this afternoon and write panicked!trickyfish for any of you. ;-P

Not that you'd want it anyway because how much would that suck? But. Yes.

OK. Really going now. Bye and all that.

Meep.

Sure! Come live with me! You've already proven your refrigerator cleaning skills -- though we'll have to discuss the laziness with getting things to the trash. And plus, I can make you be my writing-slave and chain you to a desk and feed you from across the room with a sling-shot when you fail to produce!

I love this idea. When can I expect you?

LOL. But your cats would reeeeeeally love the lazy thing, truuuuuust me. ;-) It's all to their benefit!

What disturbs me about your offer is the sling-shot thing. I mean. OK. The chaining-to-the-desk I can deal with, I've had that same plan for people. But I've never threatened to fling food at their heads. In fact, I've mostly offered to make them cookies and feed them ice cream 24/7. I think we'd have to negotiate on that end of things. *G*

But! *hugs* Thank you. :)

Great idea! Come live with me!

Except for the you don't know who I am and I live in another country part, everything should be great. ;P

LOL! Strangers, strange countries--it's all good, I'm open to any and all offers. Well. Except for the fact that I don't have a passport and don't fly well and would probably whine and drive you crazy all hours of the day and night. ;-) But really! Good cooking! That makes up for all the other inconveniences, right? *G*

Food is good. ::nods:: But all you need to do is talk Chris at me and I will be happily dazed and compliant and all your alleged whining will flow through me like wind flowing through, err, something not that solidly built.

;P

Deep breath, sweetie. It'll be okay :-)

And you can come live with me (tho' you already have other offers, I see -- but I *know* I'm closer than Merry!), if'n ya want.

Seriously, tho'... it'll be okay. You can do this! *hugs again*

Thanks, Kim. I'm keeping any and all offers in mind so if in like, four months, you get an email from me with an arrival time? Don't be shocked. You can set my up in your computer room, I'll stare at NSYNC all day and be juuuuust fine, I'm sure. ;-)

However. You also shouldn't be shocked if sometime in the next couple weeks, I IM you and tell you to call the paramedics THE SECOND I stop typing because there's a MONSTER in the closet and it's coming to GET me! Hee. *G*

You're not taking the pets? Any of them? But...but...how can this happen? You need at least one pet!

Date: 2002-11-04 05:38 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] giddygeek.livejournal.com
No pets! Not a one. I swear to God, I don't know how I'm going to deal. I've never in my life been petless!

My mom keeps trying to be all, well, at least you won't have to be home on time to feed/walk the animals. You can be out all night without worries! But I'm like, noooooo. No bed warmers! No keyboard hoggers! No barking! *sniffle*

My sister can't have pets in NC either so we set up just this gigantic wall of dog photos in her apartment...a similar project will probably be attempted in mine.

Also, at least I work at the kennel. I can spend more time downstairs snuggling puppies to make up for the loss of home puppies. And the cat at work is already in my chair with me 7 hrs out of my shift, so. ;-)

It is gonna be tough though. It's the toughest part of this whole moving deal--

Well, besides rent. ;-)

Catie--moving to Webster, yup. You guys are gonna laugh so hard when you see this building, ohmylord, it looks like a wreck. It's nice inside though, swear. Like the cottage is bigger inside! *G*

You're coming over for dinner ASAP. You and Kerri and Becky. Nick can come if he brings his guitar. Corey if he brings Baska. We'll make too much stir-fry and scare my neighbors, it'll be great. ;-)

IM me and let me know when y'all will be home. I know probably not until Thanksgiving--unless you're doing the Echo 5 Thanksgiving? In which case not until Christmas?

Add me too to the list of offers of abode. As long as you don't mind my husband, who just doesn't get the whole SBD thing, a 6 year old who does, but really right now today I'd sell to the lowest bidder, and babies. Plus a dog that will eat anything edible and many things not as long as he can reach them. And he's big enough to reach most anywhere.

But really, besides all that? You're in. Sounds fun, huh?

And we won't mention the sniper attacks in the neighborhood now that they've been caught.

Thanks for the offer! *G* It does sound like fun. Any six year old with a taste for SDBs is a six year old I could live with.

Plus a dog that will eat anything edible and many things not as long as he can reach them. And he's big enough to reach most anywhere.

LOL. I have one of those dogs who'll eat absolutely anything--fortunately for me, the dog is small. She still gets up on top of the table and eats bread, etc, but. You know. Whatever. They're dogs, what else are they gonna do for entertainment, you know? Play chess? *G*

lol! true.

The pup's most recent meals? The newspaper which was still in the bag on the kitchen table. Guess he thought it was food, since it was in plastic. He did manage to leave the food section in the kitchen, though.

He also ate the bottom of a gift bag that a neighbor left hanging on the front door. Mmm, yummy baby clothes. Thankfully, he left them alone, although the bag was toast.

You can come live with me...free room and board, and all you have to do is write me all the Trickyfish you possibly can.

Sounds like a good deal to me.
