OMG HAIRCUT.
No, seriously, all in caps just like that. HAIRCUT.
Long story SHORT LIKE THE HAIRCUT I've been growing my hair out for Locks of Love for, um, about three years. I've hated it for months but it's been years of work and I wasn't going to let it beat me.
The other night I was sitting at the computer, playing with it, and realized that if I ever broke my arm I could use my hair as a sling, like, bind the arm and tie a knot in the hair and be done with it, and that was just too much.
I got about 15 inches cut off. 15 INCHES.
So much hair. So. Much. Hair. I don't have any pics of the new haircut yet (it brushes my shoulders, and when straightened, I sort of look like a chubby, pale Cleopatra. Shut up, I do too! Right now it is drying, curly and CUTE) but I have a pic of the two ponytails that got made and then cut right off! *G*
( My donations! )
There are other new things I keep meaning to share, too. Two weeks ago, my sister sent me her cat--she'll be coming home from Hawaii in a couple months and sent Jack a little early. I haven't had a cat in four years, and I didn't even realize how much I missed having one.
He's such a riot. The flight from Hawaii didn't faze him at all and meeting strangers, being in a new house? Piece of cake! All he wants in life is a warm place to sleep (HI to MA in late October? Poor kitty was shocked. I asked my sister 'Did he normally crawl under the covers and huddle in HI, or is that a new thing?' and she said 'Dude, no, that would be new. DON'T FREEZE MY CAT TO DEATH!) Anyway, warm place to sleep and plenty of belly rubs, and he's a happy Jack.
One little photo ( Because he's also a handsome Jack )
And my car now has 1500 miles on it, because I went up to visit
misspamela last night (and had a blast being introduced to Rome, Entourage and Invisible Man! Dude. Such great shows, with absolutely no sub to their text! Where is the fic?) but it's still a new car! I've had it over a month now and I just think it is the most adorable thing.

*happy sigh* Having shared my boring pic-spam, I go to knit and watch Firefly and bask in my now curly and adorable hair. Yay! HAIRCUT!
