Oct. 2nd, 2005 12:41 amI was going to announce that I was firing all of you--like, every member of every fandom I have friended plus my RL friends and my sister, and then I realized--I can't fire you guys because I was stupid! I have to fire me! So that's it, I'm fired from my own life.
Well, not really, because if I was fired, who would vaccum up the bees?
So the thing is, Buffy. I never watched it. I was never particularly interested. I was sort of actively opposed to watching because there was this girl in my high school who was obsessed with the show and yet also a Mega-Christian, which seemed to cause her some conflict. She could cope until Willow was doing a little witchcraft here and there--Buffy could have sex with vampires but Willow talking Wicca was unacceptable, I guess because Willow had been her idol.
And, well, there was that one time in Music Theory where I made fun of this girl for wanting to be Willow and, I mean, the girl who passes mean notes on staff paper deserves to get called out and almost into a fist fight with a mighty dyed-redhaired behemoth but Theory was an hour and a half long and it was the circle of fifths and I was bored, you know, and anyway, I developed a kind of Buffy aversion.
Recently, someone gave me season 1 to watch because I saw and liked Hush and was curious about the musical episode. I fell in love.
Now I'm on season 4. I've just finished watching New Moon Rising. I made whimpering hurt puppy noises for Willow and Oz. I made whimpering happy puppy noises when Tara blew out the candle. I don't even make whimpering hurt/happy noises for hurt/happy puppies, people. This indicates a level of developing obsession that is going to get me mocked in Theory class!
And I'm hoping for fic recs. I don't care what pairing we're talking about. Anything good that doesn't end with everyone dead unless they're all dead and together in the afterlife, because that's the kind of mood I'm in. Help?
Now, having made a fool of myself as well as a plea for recs, I go to write myself a warning on normal lined paper and rewatch this DVD, because yes.
