Oct. 30th, 2003 08:23 pmMy world is full of color, people. Full! Color! I didn't even know what I was missing!
Erm, in other words, I have both a new monitor and northern lights tonight. I hadn't realized how shot my old monitor was until I plugged this one in and was shocked--SHOCKED--to realize that my background on AOL was purple and not a pale blue/grey shade.
When I was carrying said monitor into the house, I looked up and wow. Wow, the lights. There was one stretch of sky from the horizon up over where I could see, and it was a deep red at the center with pink on the edges, and little wisps of green mixed in. Against a dark sky, with the stars shining through...just wow. I called my sister and made her listen to my awe until the lights had faded. Which happened surprisingly fast. I'm keeping an eye out though, my windows face that direction. It was beautiful. Photos don't do the phenomenon justice!
My mom fed me soup and pie tonight. And told me all about a dream she had about me,
kerri_berri, and a beverage she made us with espresso, apple juice, whipped cream and candy. Apparently we loved it, Kerri. She got all excited about how much we had liked it, and seemed to be planning a real-life version. Be afraid. Be very afraid. *G*
I kind of finished my story for the happyfic challenge, but I'm not satisfied with the ending yet. And for some reason I had it in my head that the deadline was tonight, but it's tomorrow! Rock on! A whole 'nother night to bang my head against the (new!) monitor and moan! Score score score. Wandered kinda far from my lyrics though. Oh well. One worry at a time.
Wow, Giglet, your ZenFen icon with the leaves is very very pretty.
And, um. That's all that I've got. Someday I'll be more interesting, I swear. Well. Ok. Probably not. Just be glad I post once a week, people. ;-)
(also, I'm like a soda that's been shaken up, BOOM. ahahahahahaaa! these things never. get. old! lovely, lovely fandom, to have such lyricists in it. *G*)
