My mom and stepdad have had their dog Molly 18 months now--when our ancient Cocker Spaniel died in the spring of 2006, they said that was it, no more dogs.
Six weeks later, my mom and I were on our way out to the shelter. It was very, very difficult for them to go from having a dog in the house to being without; my stepdad in particular was lonely without his Puppy, so.
Molly took one look at us and started wagging her entire body and grinning, and I looked at her and said, "Who's this happy girl?" and she was just like "ME! ooooooh it's ME! I'M THE HAPPY GIRL, ILU FOR NOTICING!" ♥ ♥ ♥
So, because I am that pet-person, I give you puppy and kittyspam,

This is Molly. Technically she's a dog, but we've never had a better dishwasher.

Or a better Swiffer--when my sister dropped the turkey and stuffing while taking it out of the oven, Molly was On That Mess. The floor was cleaner than it had ever been, ever.

Molly contemplates the snowy backyard.

And would like us to know that we can make the snow go away now. Any time. Really, ANY TIME.
I love this picture SO MUCH. I know the pitbull's reputation (and hate it) and wonder how you can look at such a sweet little face and think this is a bad dog. She's the most loving, hilarious dog we've ever had.

She also very patiently allows me to wrestle around with her on the porch, yelling things like, 'help, help, I'm being Molled,' (misspelling deliberate and totally audible). She's so good about me and my stupid camera tricks, too. I spent like, ALL of Christmas following her around with a camera in hand. *grins* I don't look like me at all in this picture but I love it--I love her FACE so MUCH.

Speaking of Christmas! Santa! Molly knows him!...she thinks. *cautious sniff*
Last Christmas, Molly got her first doggy-jacket, which was blue with brown buttons, and she loved it SO MUCH. She wore it to bed, she wore it on walks, she wore it to the petstore and to the vet and just hanging out at home, looooved it. My mom accidentally put it in a bag of Salvation Army stuff this summer, and so I went out and got her the same coat in pink for this Christmas.

OMG ILU THANK YOU FOR THE COAT is what that face says, in case you cannot read pitbull. She opened her new coat, I put it on for her, she collapsed against my leg and slooooowly slid down it, looking at me the whole time like, yay, yay, ilu. SO cute. ♥

From my sister's POV.

She opens things all by herself AND reads labels. Smart girl!
Ignore the ugly carpet, btw. My mom and stepdad have been mid-renovations on their house for uuuuum, 7 years, and the living room will be the last to go. That carpet, honestly, is almost as old as me and I hate it violently. *grins*

Molly, having ascertained that her toy is acceptable, Goes to Town.
Are you saying to yourself, gosh, that present was very well-wrapped? Well, I had help!

Sally participates in thebullshit 'War on Christmas' with her Happy Holidays wrapping paper.

She also enjoys her some tissue paper.

And some sweater. Nevermind that I was WEARING that at the time.

Such a goofball.
And in case you were wondering if Sally is ALWAYS photogenic?

The answer is no. No. A thousand times no. *grins* Sometimes even Sally Sassafrass succumbs to Wonky Eye Syndrome, sad but true.

Jack does not. Jack the Cat is ALWAYS photogenic, helpful, charming and sweet--
Aahahahahhaaaaaa, okay, so that's a total lie. ♥ ♥ ♥ anyway!
And in conclusion I offer you this:

Miss Molly Rockets would like to assure you that no one was actually WEARING those jeans when she got them, thank you, and good night. *grins*
Seriously, her little face. Even with that one big fang hanging out and the jeans all mangled, she is just the sweetest thing, and I love her to bits.

Date: 2007-12-31 03:08 am (UTC)Oh my god. Dude. Molly is so precious I just want to reach through the computer and kiss her little FACE all OVER!!! AAAH! And the one with you is cuteness personified. Pictorified. Whatever. This whole post made me smile and post like the HUGE DORK I AM.
Doggies! Kitties! Giddy! YAY!

Date: 2007-12-31 03:33 am (UTC)She kisses SO MUCH. She would love for you to do that! I can't even wear my glasses at their house because I get dog slobber on them. It would probably help if I could resist getting on the floor with her or letting her crawl into my lap or whatever? But what is the fun of that, I say, and leave my glasses by the door!
And hee, yay Pet! I think you should picspam us with your fat fuzzy pony. <3<3<3

Date: 2007-12-31 03:39 am (UTC)I LOVE DOG KISSES. I am serious. People are always warning me off their happy licking kissy dogs, and I'm like, "BRING IT ON!" and then I smoosh them and rub their tummies and we are bestfriends. Right away. Totally an animal person, me, can you tell?
Heee.
One of these days I'm gonna get you to visit me so we can get some quality pony-snuggling time in. He's like a big dog, he licked my nose today and my fingers and gave me a 'hug' and everything. Awwww, Domino.

Date: 2007-12-31 04:11 am (UTC)Anyway, my friend J. would do shows, so I'd come along to help her. I'd be standing there with her big QH cross, his head over my shoulder and resting against my back, his leg cocked, ears flopped, totally napping like the GIANTEST INFANT EVER. I loved it. And no one could walk past without grinning at him, he was just so comfy and cuddly.
Some day I will come up and give your pony the biggest scritching EVER. He is clearly as sweet and adorable as Mr QH there was, and I miss that so much!

Date: 2007-12-31 03:16 am (UTC)I want to hug her and kiss her and play tug with her. So adorable! What a sweet girl:)

Date: 2007-12-31 03:37 am (UTC)She's also funny for the hugs and kisses. If you're ever in our neck of the woods, you are welcome to come smish her. She LOVES it. ;-)

Date: 2007-12-31 03:52 am (UTC)Actually, I will be sort of in your neck of the woods in a few weeks but New Hampshire is still quite a ways away and I'm only in town for two business packed days and nights. :le sigh:
Happy Holidays!

Date: 2008-01-02 11:25 pm (UTC)Yeah, New England's so small that most of the time I'd be like, pshaw, New Hampshire? But in January on a week night not so much. *grins* Have fun, pack warm clothes, bring your puppies in case you need sled dogs or something!
And hee, Roxy with her tug toys. Molly doesn't usually get herself in the head, I think she was more surprised than anything. That's why it was my fault. Oh, puppies. *grins*

Date: 2008-01-02 11:37 pm (UTC)I've been watching the 10 day forecast for Manchester and Portsmouth and it looks like it will be warming up into the 30s and 40s and raining while I'm there. In other words, I'll be bringing some lovely NW weather with me, I hope they appreciate it! Sadly, even if you were available, I am completely booked pretty much every minute I'll be there. They are using me to their best advantage.
Roxy is such a goof with her toys, she is always bopping her self on the head or smacking poor, unsuspecting Jake across the nose. I love my pups!
I'm such a dog person!
WOOF!
(now I wish I could log in at work and use my Jake or Roxy icon)

Date: 2008-01-01 09:47 am (UTC)I'm used to the more... smushed looking pitbulls? And I'll admit they creep me out a bit, though I have no idea about their actual character. But this dog is so sweet looking.
