Coal in Aaron's stocking this year...CHECK.
*sulk*
But I actually knew I had it on like, Thursday. Some of you guys had to hear about it on IM, and I told my co-workers just in case but I was all, 'I'm a hypochondriac though! It's probably nothing. Or possibly strep. Strep throat is always accompanied by weird rashes for me. I'll go to a doctor if they don't go away.' But then some of them started to go away over the weekend (although other ones popped up) and I didn't want to go to the doctor so I was all, 'It's just, uh, body acne. Accompanied by a low-grade fever. Um. Yeah.'
I slept a lot this weekend (around finishing my YULETIDE STORY WHEE) and feel a lot better, and my temperature is still not right but only a little too high--in the 99s when normal for me is in the 97s. So today I went to my mom's house while she was at work, and started some laundry, and then took a nap in her recliner in hopes of having energy to do some Christmas shopping later.
My mom ran into

I was in big trouble, and I knew it. So I was like, 'There are no spots!' and woah, did that piss her off. She said, 'Alison Jean {Last-Name}, do not lie to me or I will kill you where you sit.'
I said, 'Your glasses are really cute, Mom. Also, I like your sweater!' but that didn't get me off the hook. She just stood there looking at me until I gave up. She always wins, so unfair, omg.
But anyway, apparently they're classic chicken pox, although pretty mild. I have them on my chest, back, behind my ears, on my scalp, and I had a few on my forearms and legs that are already almost gone. And they barely itched until I acknowledged their existance, goddammit. But I have oatmeal, baking soda, and Benadryl, and research on the internet that assures me if you get chicken pox as an adult but it's the second round, it'll be mild and short-lived, so all will be well.
Aaron's still getting COAL, though. Feh.

Also, thanks you! :) I think I'm already over the worst of it, so this is all kind of anticlimactic, but I was just so. amused in a way. that I had to tell people. ;-)

I had them so bad as a kid that I'll never, ever get them again. It was awful!
I hope you are feeling better now!

Never again, though.
