giddygeekI have Things I Should Be Doing today, man, but I called and rescheduled everything. I'm still recovering from yesterday. My mother and I were comparing notes about Easter spent with her in-laws and came to the conclusion, yet again, that they are utter freaks. My stepfather is such a wonderful person, we just do not know where he came from in that family. His mother told us yesterday that she didn't know she was having twins until she was delivering, and so Mom and I are busy formulating a theory involving anesthesia, crappy doctors, and a stork.
Also, before we left for the festivities, I twisted my ankle in my parents' driveway and went crashing down. Nearly got run over and broke my chocolate Easter egg! Hmph. Ankle hurts and is swollen today, which is a big part of why I rescheduled everything, but I'm just being a baby about it, as is my habit. And really, it's a good thing the chocolate Easter egg is broken. Means I can eat it without feeling the 'but it's kinda pretty all whole, maybe I shouldn't' guilt. Exceeeeellent.
Fortunately, I had a ready-made excuse to get out of the holiday stuff after a couple hours, which came in the form of![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
nonchop! We were supposed to hang out today and watch footage but yesterday turned out to be the perfect day for it. Watched a lot of my old favorites. I love being in control of the remote. ;-)
What I especially love is that we really only watched one thing that I'd bought from nsyncland and everything else was on VHS/CD that had been sent or traded...it doesn't surprise me anymore that there are lovely and incredibly generous people in this fandom but it does still impress me. It's like with all the Chris stuff that was being posted last week--we had MP3s, photos, mpegs and unbelievably good reports all posted almost immediately after the show. Those of us who had no way of getting there...lucked out bigtime.
But anyway, sappy fandom love aside, yesterday ended on a much higher note. Thank you,nonchop, for the rescue and the footage viewing. It's so much more fun with company! :)
The great thing about having Sun/Mon be my weekend is sitting in my PJs at noon, reading everyone's posts about hating Monday, and smirking evilly as I contemplate a nap. Neener!
