My love for a certain boybander? Intense. Intense. The pics posted yesterday from CTFC and BDSSP? Right, yes, I've been a puddle since last night. And after having had a very tough day at work, I'm very glad to sign on to LJ and look at them again. And, you know, again, since they're all over my friends' page. Niiiice.
My boss this morning is going over puppy sales contracts, and I have customers in the office looking at King Charles Cavalier spaniels and they've got 42,000 questions like Cavalier people always do. He comes up to me waving a stack of contracts while I'm talking about heart defects and he's saying, Do you want to explain to me how it works out that THIS figure (the congenital defect guarantee extension fee {say that 5x fast}) is less than THIS figure (Mass sales tax).
I'm like. Um? Because...the guarantee extension is 4% of the puppy price and the tax is 5%?
And the people are staring at us and he's staring at the contracts, and I'm like. Embarassed, because he was really yelling, and a little angry because for crying out loud, I've been working this job for 18 mths, I know how to write out a contract! He was just in a bitchy-ass mood today and wanted to yell at me for something and there wasn't anything...feh.
At my mother's house now, cooking dinner for her and my stepfather. I'm baking chicken breasts marinated in Italian dressing, a little barbecue sauce, and some of this hot pepper sauce my mother makes. It smells so good I can't stand it, I'm practically drooling. And mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. I forget that I know how to cook, sometimes, because I never do it for myself.
Sometime this week, we will be deciding what weekend we'll be going to see Rent, my RL friends and I. Anyone with a suggestion? *G* Also, are there still discount codes that are good? I could just scan back through Joey in Rent community entries, but I'm lazy and hoping someone knows offhand. ;-)

Beginning Friday August 9th, Playbill On-Line Club Members can pay for Rent with tickets reduced from the full price of $85/$90 to $55. Tickets can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 212-307-4100 and mentioning code PBS. Tickets can also be purchased at the box office with a printout of this page.
It runs through December 1, but doesn't apply for Friday or Saturday nights, or for Nov 29-30. If you're planning on a day that's not one of those, this is a good offer :) Hope that helped!
