On Friday night, Intern A came over and we spent about 5 minutes discussing whether or not we could share an apartment, and 5 hours drinking, eating pizza, and talking about everything else under the sun. Final decision: It might work! She moves in 8/1.

Then on Saturday, I drove out to [livejournal.com profile] therienne and [livejournal.com profile] merryish's place to see them, [livejournal.com profile] aka_arduinna, and guests [livejournal.com profile] astolat and [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza. I finally got to meet [livejournal.com profile] merryish's cats, and anyone who doesn't know that would be thrilling for me has clearly never met me before.

Of the awesome: Vidders who happen to be talented, generous and smart people will still fall for the big eyes of, "I'd like to learn how to vid but I don't know where to start," even if they've known you for a while and should therefore understand that's probably a bad idea.

And I can hold them to it, because now I know where 2/5 of them live. \o/

I left there later than I'd planned because yay, and I headed to [livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl's place. It was a weekend where many of the wonderful people I don't see enough had come to town all at once! I had a lot of visiting to do!

And here's the thing, okay, I had directions, but they took me through Boston and I just knew that if I attempted it, I would still be going through a rotary in Arlington somehow. I scrapped the directions and backtracked to the highway to take the long-but-well-known way around.

Ahahahahaaaaa. Also? Ahahahahaaa.

So like an hour later I had not found the highway. I was three towns over in a vaguely wrong direction. The clerk at a convenience store said, "If you go straight long enough you will always find a highway," which is actually my don't-know-where-I'm-going backup plan, which was failing.

Then he said that if I continued straight for 2 more miles, I would find the highway I needed, and he was right. So it does always work -- in Massachusetts. Eventually. Most of the time.

I ended up at [livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl's place well after 9. [livejournal.com profile] mrsronweasley and [livejournal.com profile] kristiinthedark were already trashed (and adorable), a haunted computer was telling me, [livejournal.com profile] lordessrenegade and [livejournal.com profile] girlcakes that IT'S GOT MY HAIR IN IT and IT TASTES BETTER WITH COOL WHIP, everyone was very straight and no one was horrible. *nodnod* Good times!

You know, people should always be visiting Boston. Just because I enjoy it when they do -- wait, what do you mean that's not a good enough reason! Come on, it's the best reason in the world! *G*
