Eve6, At Least We're Dreaming
Eve6 got me and Trisha through painting an entire house when I was 19. I will always be grateful to them. *G* This CD wasn't even out then, but I love this song and it is on pretty much every playlist I have ever made, so.
Foo Fighters, Lonely as You
On my home from DC a few weeks ago, I put this CD on ~NYC and listened to this song pretty much the rest of the way to Massachusetts. It's pretty intensely awesome and I <3 Dave Grohl.
Gnarls Barkley, Storm Coming
I was an idiot and let media player get hold of this file, so it's .wma format and now the CD is in my car and I'm too lazy to get and reburn it. It plays fine in realplayer and VLC and etc, so. It's my favorite song off the Gnarls Barkley CD, which I really enjoy in its entirety.
Iron & Wine, Boy with a Coin
Someone on my friendslist uploaded this song a few weeks ago I think, and I've played it a few times a day since. I love love love Iron & Wine so much, and this CD isn't out yet, and I'm dying of waiting. Dying! It's a fabulous song. It also is one I end up playing in realplayer or VLC for now though, I think it's in m4a.
Modest Mouse, Parting of the Sensory
Modest Mouse is another big favorite, and when I bought this CD I hit 3:30 through the end of this song and was like, wait what *repeat repeat repeat* It's a great CD and I really recommend picking it up, also. Modest Mouse = AMAZING.
Antony & the Johnsons, Hope There's Someone
I first heard this song on Torchwood and was instantly obsessed. It's gorgeous, I can't get over it. I make everyone listen to it. My sister loves books that are beautiful and sad and tragic, and I like this song. That makes sense in my head, I swear.
Imogen Heap, Hide & Seek
Okay, so, everyone knows Imogen Heap, right? Right? Please say yes. Another truly amazing artist I can't get over and I make everyone who gets near me listen to her, and I keep pimping out her CD Speak For Yourself because I want the whole world to buy it.
And a bonus song just because!
Willie Nelson ft. Bonnie Raitt, You Remain
My mom used to listen to Bonnie Raitt and Sade constantly when I was a kid/teenager, and I've never liked Sade but one day it was like a flip switched on in my head and I was in love with Bonnie Raitt. I still am! This song is like a slow, sad little story, and I've been obsessed with it for years.
