giddy: painter of light!
giddy: how dare you! you will make him sad
giddy: and he will paint the dark. :-(
What's actually sad is that I knew INSTANTLY who she was talking about. I am, in fact, a little ashamed. But not a fan! I swear! Even my taste in art is better than that (and I totally linger over posters with unicorns on them).

Hi! This is (one of) my new fandom(s)!
PRETTY KEEN.
(Other fandoms, SGA and Torchwood in particular, are still totally objections of obsession. Why must there be so much fun all at once?)

I went to visit

And, okay, fangirls ♥ ♥ I was kind of a little bummed that MJ was over, so it was really fantastic to hang out with a bunch of people who'd been there, particularly since I hadn't really gotten a chance to talk to most of them that weekend!
And then I got lost on Route Fucking 2 (with which I have a HISTORY *shakes fist at road*) and?

Then I totally wrote

Some friends and I went to the TGIFridays that had, in March, seated us at a table against the wall, which we noticed after a few minutes was covered in flies. One landed in the beer of a guy with us. Did the restaurant move us? No! They left us there! Some complaining got a beer taken off the bill and I think like 10% of the total, and when C. wrote to the corporation, they gave us 3 free appetizers. Whee.
So we were taking advantage of that despite grumbling protests, but had to wait over an hour to be seated, and then had the crappiest service that ever happened. Drinks were wrong, food was wrong, and it took 2 hours for us to get out of there. Never, ever bothering with them again.
However, the mojitos were necessary, because we were going to see Grindhouse after. I refused to see it sober. ;-)
We went to a 9:40 show and got out after 1am, but I have to say it was worth it. Grindhouse was sort of horribly fantastic and we all really loved it. The first movie had us literally sobbing with laughter even as we tried to hide behind each other. I liked the second movie more than most of the people I went with, but I enjoyed how it was quieter and imo more frightening than the first movie--if only because of what our reaction to the ending said about us, the audience. I do recommend it, if you can handle gore and gross humor (which I'm not ashamed to admit I sometimes find totally awesome).

And, most importantly? I got a little tree vgift--thank you, anonymous gifter. :) It is probably the only plant I will ever be able to keep alive, which is oh so very sad, but it made me so happy to see it on my profile!
