Dec. 18th, 2003 08:41 pmOK. So, yesterday was a tough day. And today has been an insanely BUSY day. And then, at five, I got on the road to come to
bayleaf's house so that we might retrieve the Merry from Hartford tomorrow, and I made it allllll the way into a parking lot about 3/4 of a mile from Alanna's apartment before I was pulled over by the police because apparently they don't tell you when you're supposed to re-register your car, you're just supposed to knoooooow.
So my car has been unregistered since October, and I didn't know.
The officer was really nice and didn't insist I be towed, he let me park the car and gave me tips on how to clear the whole mess up in a hopefully fast and easy fashion tomorrow, but this is just about the last thing I need right now all around. Rawr.
So, Alanna comes and picks me up and sets me up on her couch with her cute little iBook because she has to finish a paper, and my phone rings and I just know it's going to be my pissed off mother. So I leap to answer it and when I return the cute little iBook is black of the screen and completely refusing to turn on again for several long scary moments, leaving me utterly convinced that I had broken the cute little iBook, and that was a panic attack of wheeeee.
But it's fixed now through some magical taking-out-the-battery action, and I figured out how to get online all by myself, and now I need for
merryish to hop onto IRC so that we might co-ordinate things and not be left wandering the airport tomorrow calling for each other and. Something. I don't know. Adrenaline, panic, and sleeplessness have combined to make Giddy an incoherent flailing moron!
FYI, the flailing is the unusual part.
Firstly I should probably make the cute little iBook go on IRC. Whee. *flail*
