You guys will never believe what exciting thing I did today. No, really! Trust me! It was exciting and unbelievable and unbelievably exciting!
Wait for it...
I spent a couple hours outside!
Hee. It was like 65 degrees today. Some friends and I took off early this afternoon to go to a favorite park of ours. We spent a couple hours playing in the snow and puddles and running around the park structure--it's one of those big places with like, a rambling wooden maze type thing with ladders and slides and stuff. Built for little kids so, you know, extra fun for us. ;-) I couldn't remember the last time I had actually just spent hours fooling around outside. For a while, we couldn't remember just what we could do outside.
It has been a very long winter.
I keep wishing it was 2pm again so I could go back outside. Wet and muddy and I'm still sick so you know, probably not the best thing to have been doing. But it felt so good to follow the little river the melting snow made and destroy the dams our boys kept trying to build and just. It was just good.

Went home and cooked a very tasty dinner with friends and then watched a very scary movie, which explains why I'm still up at 1am on a work night. Well, besides that I just got home a little while ago. The movie was The Ring, in case anyone is wondering. First time I'd seen it. Whee!
Realizing now that I missed Punkd. Thank God for MTV's habit of rerunning things. Realizing also that I missed most of Bush's speech. We could only watch for a couple minutes before having to turn it off before there was a riot in the living room.
Now I'm going to drug myself to sleep--am still coughing pretty fiercely and very sore-throated so having a hard time getting comfortable enough to rest. Meh. I just wanted to come online and say, today? I had a really great day. ;-)
