Happy Birthday to
kirsch! Hope it was a good one. ;-)
Secondly, I hate New England in the winter. Could not get my car into the driveway yesterday when I came home from work and so eventually had to park it in the driveway of the retirement home nearby. Veeeeery much against retirement home rules but I figured they wouldn't be able to see that I don't have the right sticker until it was all shovelled out. Then this morning had to slide down my driveway (still unplowed, although I thought I'd heard the plow last night) and then climb over the four foot snow wall where we'd been plowed in. Took me forever to get to my car and when I did I just looked at it. Looked at it, then turned around and came home. Had my boss come pick me up for work--he's from Minnesota so he was laughing at me the whole time but seriously. I would've died.
Just spent two hours shovelling it out of that driveway, and then shoveling my parking spot in my own driveway, which became the snow dump since I wasn't using it, I guess. Grr and argh, I say to that. And now I hear rumor of another 8in coming tomorrow night/Monday morning. Whee!
note to self: move to Jamaica.
cesperanza didn't know what she was in for, I guess, with her elf challenge. Seventy-five stories all in 24 hrs. Amazing! I'd just like to note that I posted mine before she began to 'regret' issuing the challenges. *G* But the stories are hysterical and she set them up here for all of our reading enjoyment. I can't even believe how funny some of them are. Thanks, Ces. We'll have to do it again sometime!
Now I go and make hot chocolate. Lots and lots of hot chocolate. And perhaps write some ch/la (astrotrick! hee) for I am in the mood. Or, ooh, should send more feedback. I only got about half the Secret Santa feedback done! Am a serious slacker--
Well, OK, maybe not so much with the serious. *G*
