At random:
Jul. 23rd, 2002 10:15 pmTarget. Very, very evil. I mean, I needed stuff. Trishafish took the most random things--spatulas, salt and pepper shakers, cinnamon, my big fry pan, half my favorite books, etc--so these things, yeah. But a new shower curtain? WTF did I buy that for? And the Kit Kats? Yeah, I like Kit Kats. I am, in fact, obsessed with their chocolate wafery goodness. But...I don't need this many Kit Kats! And I *have* lamps! Plenty of lamps. Why in the world did I buy two more lamps? And NSYNC fruit snacks? OK, so I had to buy two boxes in hopes of getting Chris and Lance on the little cardy-passy thingies, but my upset with getting Lambs was truly unreasonable.
So. Target = bad.
But also bought Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (and not at Target so that does not decrease Target's badness) Currently listening to Into My Arms, which, guh. His voice is all melodramatic and passionate and dark and velvet, eerie even in a song like this and...yeah. Guh. Love.
Read The Last Unicorn again today. This makes about the 3419346234th time. I need to find a new favorite author--I dreamed a few nights ago that I was going through Trisha's bags, looking for the books she'd stolen, and there was a Peter S Beagle that I hadn't read before, and I was so happy that I *woke up giggling*. But I love his stories. I chase people around, quoting his stories. It's sad, it really is.
Does anyone else have like, a list of songs that anyone who wants to marry them will have to sing and sing well? Because I totally do. I'm going to burn them all onto one CD and hand it to anyone who dates me and if even a single song on the CD is not memorized in a reasonable amount of time, there will be Hell to Pay and Breaking Up To Do.
Don't gotta work until noon tomorrow and took a two hour nap after work tonight so I'm going to hang out for hours on IM and hopefully also get some writing done (I'm like, twitchy with the need to write more trickyfish and possibly TrickC--I have bunnies, man, but I can't catch them!) There is also GSF in progress on my hard drive and it's not going anywhere because it's Joey's POV but he's very not-Joey, so. But the rest of the guys are coming along well so I hate to give it up. Will hack at it tonight and hope for improvement.
