Trisha woke me up at 3:30am because she needed a ride to Framingham for her National Guard thing. Then I worked for 10 hrs. Then I came home and cleaned. Ugggh, tired. Ugggh. But on the ride, Trish and I hammered out a tentative plan--she moves permanently to North Carolina in late July. I'm taking ten days off work in early August (prolly the 10th-20th). Kerri and I are going to hop on a train, or a bus depending on schedules vs prices, and go to visit her for five of those ten days. This is still a tentative plan and there are a few people on my friends' list who know exactly how well my travel plans tend to go, but still. I deserve a break, dammit, after the year I've had.

Also, brrrr. It's so cold! How on earth is it so cold in mid-June!?! I can see my breath, and this amazes me to no end.

Cold makes people stupid, I think. Trisha put our scanner on the heater the other day while she was cleaning because it's June and she thought the heat was off. Then the heat came on because it's cold and it melted the scanner. *rolls eyes* So we spent yesterday digging plastic off the heater and having a funeral for the scanner.

I had a bad dream last night about driving on the highway and it was snowing, and it was June. I stopped the car because a woman was standing in the middle of the highway and she made me walk off the exit ramp and down the rode to this plaza where it really was springlike but coldcoldcold. And there were lots of other people there and a guy was going around cutting people's heads off. Was even weirder than it sounds, I think.

Also also, I had very severe stomach upset Mon, Tues, Wed. Took Tues off work, even, which is something I've almost never done at the kennel. My Mom called yesterday to tell me, "You know that stomach bug you have?" and "You remember how you came over here Saturday and helped me in the garden and drank all that water?" and "You remember how you came over here Sunday and washed the cars and drank all that water?" and I said, "So?" and she said, "Well, the town just brought letters to all the people who draw their water off the well we're on--which tested positive for e.coli contamination. Coincidence?"

I was like, nawww, that wasn't it, but then today I asked our vet--we all go to the vet with human stuff because she's a frigging genius and so absolutely sensible that half of us want her to be our primary care. And she said that the levels weren't high enough to put anyone in the hospital or anything, but that she's heard that a lot of the people in Mom's neighborhood were sick and that's why the water was tested. Mom and Jim don't drink the tap water at their house but I hate cold cold water so I do, and maybe, just maybe, that's what my stomach bug was. So, ick.

It was a v. rough week. But now I am weekended, hurray, and so shall sit on my fat butt in front of the computer for a couple days. Turning off the phone. Turning off real life people on IM. Ignoring the world! Forget this whole father's day crud, and yay for lazy, antisocial, eating-like-a-pig and signing-online day! *G*
