Trisha bought me 'Longshot'. And 'Last Night'. She laughs at my fannish obsessions, and then she feeds them, the brat. I haven't watched either yet but am snickering at the boxes--I don't know which I want to watch first. I think that the idea of 'Longshot' is amusing and the reality might be painful; I've been wanting to see 'Last Night' for a while. So prolly 'Longshot' first, yes.

Yay Trisha. ;-)

Boo neighbors though. They're all summer weekend people except for one family--so it's nice and quiet and peaceful here most of the year (except when it's freaky-quiet *G*). My dogs hang out on their runs in the yard for most of the day and pretty much are content and cars don't drive and it feels very private and comfortable. But then the summer weekends hit and suddenly there are people walking to the boat club docks and people having parties in the field across the street, and people driving around on motorcycles. People just...everywhere. And my poor dogs aren't used to this so they freak out and there is much barking and the neighbors look at them like OMG, what bad dogs! But at least they're leashed, unlike the yellow Lab who comes in my yard all the time and tries to chew on them. Or the pair of Great Danes who lope around and almost cause accidents. Or the Rottie mix who runs at people and is scary, even though all she does when she gets to you is drop and roll and wiggle until you pet her, and then she follows you home and sits on your step until her people come to get her.

And when the neighbors walk past my house, they look in the windows. I don't get it either, but I'm sitting here at the computer looking out the kitchen windows and watching them look in. It's just creepy and makes me so uncomfortable!

Right now, there's a guy with his kid, walking up and down the fence on the side of my yard. I don't know why, but Keisha and Sheba are freaking out and the guy is just...staring...and walking...and I think I'm going to go out in the yard and stare back, and then take the dogs in. At this point, they're not enjoying their yard anymore, they're on the verge of heart attacks.

Sigh.

Honestly, sometimes I wish I hadn't moved so far out into the country simply because of how freaked out we all are re: strangers now. Also, I wish the neighbors were not so annoying.

Trisha wants to egg their houses. I might let her, really, if this summer is as bad as the last.

But anyway. Videos, yay. Cleaning's done, dogs are in now, soup is warming, and I got new pillows today so my bed is looking like a mighty cozy place to curl up in and watch TV. :)

Goodness.

I just went to check my email and found a note from livejournal--Livejournal Payment Recieved. Thought that was odd because I'd tried to do the paid account thing on like...Thursday but had trouble logging into PayPal and had just thrown up my hands and decided to do it later. I was like, how on earth did they *get* it? But apparently, they didn't! Or at least, not from me. :)

So. An anonymous person paid for two months of Livejournal. That is remarkably unexpected, and very cool. Thank you so much! *hugs*
