This is terrific - it goes deeper than the average story, and it's fascinating to see the change from beginning to end. I'm with elynross - the first two times are very different, almost abusive - certainly not a lot of feeling involved - and then things soften and get easier, and Jack seems much more caring. He's seen enough of Ianto to feel for him.
I adore hurt/comfort, so the scenes of Jack taking care of Ianto after Countrycide are a delight.
I love the team stuff - the dinners together, and the slime, and how blatant Jack eventually is about Ianto with them.
Lisa's ghost is a fantastic touch - certainly something you could expect in the TW universe, considering the intensity of emotion. I'm glad Jack saw her, too. And that she and Ianto both were able to let go finally.
