I registered for con.txt today, and now I'm all excited. I've got the whole week before off from work, so I can have an actual vacation and then head down to hang out. I haven't gone anywhere for vacation in forever, and I've never been to anything like this, so yeah. Excited.

And, eee, I just looked at the membership list and I'm even more excited! People I see regularly and love hanging out with! People I haven't seen in forever! People I've been dying to meet! People I have never heard of, but in relatively small numbers! And in only 4 months!

I also registered over the weekend for VVC but, um, yeah, totally wait-listed. This is not a problem, I figure, because I have the week before that off from work too. I'll just go visit merryish whether she wants me to or not, and have a Hooters/Grave Danger picnic with dsudis and generally make a pest of myself. I think this is an excellent plan. :)

Seriously. I'm torn, by my badge name is going to be "Nora Bombay". I figure it's a lot easier than introducing myself as my actual name, and then with a "nora bombay? Lj?"

I really should book a hotel room. I don't know why I pretend I'm commuting...

LOL. Pretending 'cause you know it would be cheaper? If I lived within reasonable driving distance, I'd be pretending I want to commute, too. Alas, an 18hr drive or whatever it'll work out to be, kind of hard to do back and forth. *grins* Still, either way, lots of fun!

It's about 45 min from Silver Spring- SS is the top of the beltway.

I live at the bottom.

I'm probably going to get a hotel room for a night or two, but I have no plans to take a day off work, so I'll just commute in those days.
