So I can put off packing...
We had the birthday celebrations for Kerri yesterday, a barbecue at her grandparent's house and then a gathering at mine. Much fun was had. :) The numbers were smaller than anticipated at my house and kind of staggered at hers, which was a blessing. I had been expecting to need room for a million people to settle at my house overnight but since everyone had to work this AM, it ended up just being three! The best three, too, which rocks. *G*
Best part of the evening? An entirely random and unplanned performance of our Rent show from showchoir competition days, performed in togas in my kitchen. We had all five voice parts*, so it worked out pretty well, except the five of us hadn't really sung in a while, not together anyway. We also had the two main soloists so we were golden. However, let me tell you this--dance break, in toga? Not fun. Not fun at all. But yes, was good, until someone switched shows in midstream and there was chaos, anarchy, a dissolution of our little group. We were just hitting my favorite part of What You Own too. *sigh*
Wierdest part of the evening? A visit from a girl who has hated me and K. for about two years now, pretty intensely. And she hugged us before she left! And kissed our cheeks! Weeeeeeird.
Worst part of the evening? Someone used my magnetic poetry to write "kiss my enormous chocolate painted ass" on my refridgerator. *glares in the direction of the cuprit*
Also, my paid account ran out yesterday supposedly, but it lists me still as a paid member and blahblah. Only now I can't find an expiration date for my account, so maybe I was wrong but I dunno! Help?

*for the curious, though undoubtedly there aren't any, I'm a mezzo-soprano--a second soprano. I have a decent alto range and a good soprano range and hold my own in harmony pretty well, so that's where I got stuck after years of bopping between the two. But there's a choral joke that fits: How do you get a mezzo soprano into a small car? Grease her hips and put a chocolate bar on the dashboard. Ahahahaa. Yeah. *scowls*.
