Totally gratuitous noms post.

Okay, so, I had a really rough couple weeks, and a friend of mine just took the Bar Exam so you can imagine how her past couple months have been. We decided to treat ourselves to a super yummy brunch at my place today -- and it was so good that we pretty much had brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert.

Then, because she totally loves dudes kissing, I made her watch Projekt Rev clips. Right up her alley, hee. She loves Patrick Stump -- this is independent of my influence, I swear -- so I totally made her watch a ton of Pete/Patrick stuff too, and then I hit her with Pete's sal and dean thing. Then we watched a ton of Torchwood. Man, a day of win. \o/

Um, I totally took a picture of our noms, btw.

We had ham, pepperoni, hard-boiled eggs, and swordfish. We had brie, feta, and a very sharp cheddar -- Dubliner, I think. Hummus. Carrots, sliced red peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Pears, strawberries, and grapes. And in the shot glasses, because we're totally classy, pickles, yellow mustard, chocolate sauce, and almonds.

And we drank tea out of wineglasses like grownups. It was AWESOME. *grins*

And since about half of it is sitting in my fridge still, it'll be awesome tomorrow, too. We're making this a first Sunday of the month ritual, so, you know, locals -- save the date and let me know if you want to join us. Trust me, there'll be enough to go around. \o/

Dudes kissing always makes me feel better, too. And so do noms. Nom nom nom.

I'm glad you had a day of win!

Me too -- we both needed it!

Dudes kissing made us feel better, yes, and her general love of fannish material, even though she is not in fandom herself -- she feels the squee, you know? It's pretty awesome to have non-fannish friends like her, especially considering we met in like, 9th grade. *grins*
