Pandemic II

Who overcame the human race on her 2nd try?

Oh, right. Giddy the Merciless, that's who. \o/

Did it make me feel better about my day? No. But it did give me a thrill to beat [livejournal.com profile] loveyouallwrong with her own trick --

Um, by which I mean, it is my pleasure to give Lea partial credit for my astonishing victory. *nodnods*

how did you do it.

I named my bacteria Pete Wentz. He is slowly but surely infecting Canada with fever as we speak.

The day after I played Pandemic II, I started coughing. Coincidence? Maybe. Or maybe I unwittingly became a carrier by playing. Clearly the only solution is to head for Madagascar and see if they close their ports.

(I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU KILLED EVERYONE ON YOUR SECOND TRY. SOME PEOPLE HAVE ALL THE LUCK.)

I sold my symptoms right away and started building my resistances. No one paid me much mind until all of a sudden half the world and every continent was infected. Then I whammed them with fever and hemorrhaging. \o/ Kind of entertaining!

[identity profile] giddygeek.livejournal.com 2008-07-24 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
But I was assured that you can't catch Pete Wentz! Lies! Lies on the internet! We might all be infected!

That sounds like a very handy real life way to judge the progression of your illness. *nodnods*

My first round, I did an awesome job of destroying Madagascar, but everyone else shut their ports. Except Greenland. Effing Greenland -- they had 26 people still alive and their airport was still open.

My one regret is that everyone was dead before I had enough evolution points to unleash necrosis on 'em. Fail! *G*

i gave up after the fifth time I had to stop because I felt sorry for killing everyone. /o\

Heeeeee. Yeah, no, I totally had no qualms. Well, that's a lie -- I did actually feel bad for the undeveloped countries because they were really trying! They closed their harbors, they exterminated insects, they distributed clean water way earlier than the US did, for example. And I felt bad for the one little boat left cruising in the Atlantic with no access to a port.

[identity profile] impertinence.livejournal.com 2008-07-24 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
i had this thought of Pete carrying Patrick to a hospital and was like I'M SORRY OKAY *closes tab*

DAAAAAW.

Although now I totally want some kind of really wallowy Pete/Patrick apocolypse AU. No on-screen character death, but lots and lots of drama and woe and triumph and kinky life-affirming sexual acts. Dammit.

...I'm in awe of you *goes to try your method*

PUT IT ON YOUR LIST AFTER LOOSE!!

Wiping out the entire human race shouldn't fill me with so much glee

Victory! It is mine! \o/
