... so, a friend linked me to a v.disturbing article (that I'm glad she did, because while disturbing, it was important to know). Then she linked me to this, as a way to say, "Sorry for springing that on you!"
Holy FUCK am I glad that she did.
I don't know if I can easily describe what I feel about this story. It's certainly not a simple story; there are a number of layers here, not least the difference (as pointed out by others) between their first two encounters and then what happens post-Countrycide. I love the way you worked in Lisa; I've not explored much of the fandom (the Owen/Gwen shippers SCARE me), but I'm under the impression, given what I understand of fannish ways, that most Jack/Ianto authors will likely just... forget her. Ignore her. As much as I disliked Cyberwoman (for a number of reasons), it was def. v.v. important for Ianto's characterisation, as well as for his relationship with Jack, and... yeah. That really comes through here.
Also, it was hot, and sweet, and sexy, and a little bit cuddly. Rather like Ianto himself. (I really, REALLY need an Ianto icon.)
