I worked in a factory, and we actually had to shut the place down once a year to count EVERYTHING. Took about a week. *shudders* and that was just the big one. We had several little counts that took anywhere from a few hours, to days at a time.
*smiles* The best part was telling people how I was 'stuck in the cage' for the week. (Cage being the nicknames of the storage places around the factory. They ranged from corners of basements, edges of stairwells, to half a floor. All were 'caged off' hence the name.)
And yes, I think John had a very nice reward for his services. *whishes she had a nice Rodney to go home to after hellatious counting*
