Brilliant.

The best thing about the existence of these old plots is seeing them done fresh and beautifully.

The small turns of the day as it repeated, especially during the "idiots" meeting, were incredibly delightful, as was the equally small turns as John came to know Rodney's desire for him.

One of my favorite things about first time stories is that tipping point moment when you can feel the world turn on its head. It's amazing to get to feel that multiple times in one story, and if Rodney was cheated out of something fabulous, it was because you gave that pleasure to your reader instead.

Very smart, surprisingly compelling, and the kind of story that can easily make you fall in love with a fandom again.
